Ribbons of caramel and spice erupt from the glass, followed by heady aromas of dried fruit, old oak and fresh brambleberries. Mouth coating and chewy on the palate, waves of baked apple, plums and raisins dance across the tongue with decadent cinnamon spice and a lingering tingle of peppercorn and warm citrus. Finish is long and friendly, with the Armagnac’s sherry like character providing a refined, dry counterbalance to the husky corn character of the bourbon. A truly unique offering, and a must try at this incredible price point.
